Date 16/06/2015

Chinsay, the global standard for online freight and commodities contract management in physicals, has announced today that Carsten Leth has joined the company as the head of global business development. Leth will be on the management team and will play a major part in shaping the strategic direction of the company.

Leth joins Chinsay from Maersk Line, where he was in charge of internal strategy and consultancy for a number of years. Leth’s primary focus included planning the strategic direction for Maersk Line, working on M&A activity and various in-house projects. Prior to that Leth honed his skills at a private equity firm in Copenhagen, at PwC and Nordea.

Dag Sundén-Cullberg, Chinsay CEO & founder, says: “Carsten has a great background in strategic planning, shipping and high-level business development. I am confident that his experience at Maersk Line will prove invaluable at Chinsay as we grow the business and roll out new products and services. I am very much looking forward to working with him and welcoming him to the team. This is an important time in the development of our industry and having people of Carsten’s calibre and experience will help us drive the business forward.”

Carsten Leth says: “Chinsay is bringing big changes to the shipping and trading communities, with innovative use of technology, which is delivering new levels of efficiency and security to world-wide contract management. The business is growing rapidly, in Asia, Europe and the US and it’s an excellent time to join the company. The logistics and physical commodity markets are going through a period of great change and I see Chinsay being at the heart of that change.”
