China's Ministry of Finance and Hong Kong Stock Exchange Sign Bonds Listing Pact.

China's Ministry of Finance signed an agreement with the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on January 18, for the listing of bonds issued by the People's Republic of China. This agreement replaced one signed in 1993 and incorporated minor technical updates. Since 1993, there had been seven issues of Chinese bonds listed in Hong Kong, including the most recent USD1 billion sovereign global bond due 2007.
