Guangzhou R&F Properties Co., Ltd. (China H shares) will be added to the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Select Dividend Index, Dow Jones Indexes announced today.
The addition of the China-based company, Guangzhou R&F Properties to the index follows the December 8, 2011 removal of Malaysia’s PLUS Expressways Bhd which was acquired by UEM Group Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund of Malaysia, according to Dow Jones Indexes, a global index provider.
The Dow Jones Emerging Markets Select Dividend Index measures the stock performance of 100 leading dividend-paying emerging markets companies by their dividend yield.
Guangzhou R&F Properties Co is engaged in the development and sale of properties, property investment, hotel operations and other property- development-related service in the People’s Republic of China. The company’s principal activity is the development of residential and commercial properties for sale in China. Guangzhou R&F Properties also develops hotels, office buildings and shopping malls in Beijing, Guangzhou, and other cities, which are held as investment properties.
The addition of Guangzhou R&F Properties in the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Select Dividend Index will be effective before the open of trading on Friday, December 30, 2011.
