China Beijing Equity Exchange (CBEX) and Deutsche Börse have signed a cooperation agreement with a view to position and promote Deutsche Börse as central gateway for Chinese companies to the European capital market. The two partners will entertain various listing activities focussing on the following sectors: technology, automotive, chemical, engineering, life science, telecom, consumer brands and renewable energy.
CBEX and Deutsche Börse together with the International Center for Corporate Strategy Development have just finished a roadshow with listing seminars for Chinese companies in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The next major step in this cooperation will be the participation of Chinese companies in the German Equity Forum in Frankfurt in November, Europes largest capital markets forum. The German Equity Forum focusses on equity financing and financing strategies and this year will place particular focus on China and Chinese companies.
“We are proud to be able to announce an alliance with CBEX that will pave the way for Chinese companies to use the Deutsche Börse listing platform,” said Rainer Riess, Managing Director Stock Market Business Development at the signing ceremony held at the occasion of the opening of CBEX new offices in Beijing.
Deutsche Börse has dedicated significant resources to promoting overseas listings of Chinese companies. Deutsche Börse considers its offering complementary to a home market listing in China providing Chinese companies easy and cost efficient access to the European capital market.
CBEX is appointed by the state-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council for the transfer of ownership of state-owned enterprises owned by the Central Chinese Government. CBEX supports assets transfers throughout China.
