Chicago Stock Exchange's Share Volume Growth Trend Continues - 2nd Quarter Share Volume Up 20.6 Percent - 2nd Quarter OTC Share Volume Up 32.6 Percent

The CHX share volume increased by 13.6 percent over June 2000 and 20.6 percent over the same quarter last year. OTC share volume reached 1,032,857,888, an increase of 18.2 percent over June 2000. OTC share volume for the 2nd quarter was up 32.6 percent over the same period last year.

Share volume in June 2001 was 2,433,560,408 compared to 2,142,554,489 in June 2000, a rise of 13.6%. Trade volume in June 2001 was 4,145,295 compared to 5,096,324 in June 2000, a fall of 18.7%.

Share volume in 2nd quarter 2001 was 7,759,640,568 compared to 6,436,236,299 in 2nd quarter 2000, a rise of 20.6%. Trade volume in 2nd quarter 2001 was 13,871,782 compared to 15,840,285 in 2nd quarter 2000, a fall of 12.4%.

OTC Share volume in June 2001 was 1,032,857,888 compared to 873,566,662 in June 2000, a rise of 18.2%. OTC Trade volume in June 2001 was 2,123,393 compared to 2,794,813 in June 2000, a fall of 24.0%.

OTC Share volume in 2nd quarter 2001 was 3,400,564,119 compared to 2,565,342,198 in 2nd quarter 2000, a rise of 32.6%. OTC Trade volume in 2nd quarter 2001 was 7,560,021 compared to 8,602,376 in 2nd quarter 2000, a fall of 12.1%.
