Chicago Stock Exchange Share Volume Shows Significant Growth

The CHX total share volume and OTC share volume significantly increased over May 2000. Total share volume increased by 28 percent and OTC share volume increased by 41 percent. Total trade volume and OTC trade volume held steady from a year ago.

Share volume in May 2001 was 2,681,337,666 compared to 2,089,201,017 in May 2000. Trade volume in May 2001 was 4,917,310 compared to 4,865,817 in May 2000.

OTC Share volume in May 2001 was 1,157,591,325 compared to 821,195,579 in May 2000. OTC Trade volume in May 2001 was 2,675,978 compared to 2,646,642 in May 2000.

May 2001, Extended Trading Hours Share Volume was 17,321,139.

Last Seat Sale was $125,000 on May 30, 2001.
