Chicago Stock Exchange Announces The Appointment Of Two Governors To Its Board

The Chicago Stock Exchange yesterday announced the appointment of two governors to its Board: Kurt D. Halvorson, President, Advanced Clearing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Ameritrade Holding Corporation and Mark P. Tellini, Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff and Strategic Planning for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Mr. Halvorson is replacing Jack R. McDonnell, former CEO and President of Ameritrade, who recently left the Board. Mr. Tellini is replacing Anthony D. McCormick, Vice President Derivative Markets, also at Schwab, who recently stepped down from the Board.

Kurt D. Halvorson has been President of Advanced Clearing, Inc. since 1997. Mr. Halvorson has been with Ameritrade Holding Corporation since 1987. Prior to being named President, he served as Vice President and General Manager and also as Vice President and Controller of Advanced Clearing. Before joining Ameritrade, Mr. Halvorson was Senior Accountant for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche). Mr. Halvorson obtained his BSBA from the University of Nebraska and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mark P. Tellini, is Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff and Strategic Planning at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Mr. Tellini formerly served as chief counsel for Schwab's Capital Market & Trading enterprise. Mr. Tellini joined Schwab in 1997 after six years at the Securities & Exchange Commission where he served as Counsel to the Chairman and as an attorney in the Division of Market Regulation. Mr. Tellini received a B.A. from Bowdoin College and his law degree from Boston College Law School.
