Chicago Stock Exchange And CHX Holdings Announce Officer Promotions

Date 29/05/2007

The Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX) and CHX Holdings, Inc., the parent company, today announced five high level promotions. These promotions come soon after CHX reached a post-REG NMS trading high on May 7.

Stephen Brodsky has been promoted to President, CHX Holdings. Since joining CHX in 2003, Brodsky has assumed responsibilities for CHX Financial Services, Strategy and Sales. Brodsky was integral in finalizing CHX's partnership with equity investors Bank of America Corporation; Bear Stearns; E*TRADE FINANCIAL Corporation; and Goldman, Sachs & Co.

David Whitcomb is now Executive Vice President, Chief Regulatory Officer. Since joining CHX in 2003, Whitcomb has been responsible for the Market Regulation areas during a period of intense change and critical focus on CHX's systems and processes. Most recently, Whitcomb served as Senior Vice President and Chief Regulatory Officer.

Brodsky and Whitcomb will both continue to report to CHX/CHX Holdings CEO Dave Herron, working closely with executive staff members, Ellen Neely, CHX President and General Counsel and John Kerin, CHX EVP and COO. Robert Garrett assumes the job of Vice President, Application Development. Garrett joined CHX in 1990 and has assumed roles of increasing responsibility in the Information Technology area, most recently as Director of System Engineering. Throughout his tenure, CHX has relied on Garrett to design, develop and maintain some of the Exchange's most sophisticated real-time systems and to trouble shoot many complex problems. Garrett will continue reporting to Senior Vice President Christopher Fairman.

Bruce Mathias has been promoted to Vice President & Controller. Since joining CHX in 1997, Mathias has led the Financial Services area, most recently in the role of Controller, which he will retain. Mathias has continued to assume additional responsibilities in the area, managing CHX Auditor relationships and streamlining the billing process and other functions in Financial Services. Mathias will continue reporting to Steve Brodsky.

Sayena Mostowfi has been elevated to Vice President, Strategic Planning. Mostowfi joined CHX in 2000 and since then has been involved in CHX Strategy for most of her career, most recently in the role of Director, Strategic Planning. Mostowfi has been integral in competitive positioning of CHX and its recently expanded marketing efforts. Mostowfi was also heavily involved in the analysis of joint venture opportunities. As Mostowfi assumes additional responsibilities she will continue to report to Steve Brodsky.
