Chicago Mercantile Exchange Selects CMS WebView plc Technology For Its New Market Data Feed

Date 29/07/2002

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) has chosen CMS WebView plc (CMS) to develop its new market data feed. Developed using CMS's proprietary "TDI Network architecture", the feed will enable CME to deliver its data to quote vendors using TCP socket technology.

CMS's TDI Network architecture is rapidly becoming established as industry standard technology in the area of exchange data distribution. Versions of the software are already in operational use at organisations including the London Metal Exchange and the Baltic Exchange in London.

Scheduled for release during the third quarter of 2002, the CME price transparency feed, to be managed and controlled by the exchange, will be made available to all quote vendors, existing and new, who distribute CME data.

Bob Antell, CEO of CMS WebView plc commented: "We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract by the CME. This is a significant contribution towards CMS's strategic objective of being a leading provider of price transparency and financial market interface technology solutions."

Glen Madeja, Director of Information Products Management at the CME said: "CMS has, to date, developed the required software applications to the standard required and delivered them in a timely fashion. CME is content with the work undertaken by CMS and looks forward to continuing a positive business relationship with the company."
