Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. To Extend Trading Hours For GSCI Today If Energy And Metals Futures Trade At Nymex

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) announced that it plans to extend open outcry trading today in its GSCI futures and options contracts to coincide with a planned special abbreviated session on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) Web-based ACCESS electronic trading system this afternoon.

NYMEX plans to trade its contracts on the Web-based ACCESS system this afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. CST. The GSCI will close at its regular time of 2:15 p.m. if the energy and metals futures at NYMEX that compose part of the GSCI do not open for trading.
