Date 19/12/2001

The Chicago Board Options Exchange® (CBOE®) is hosting its fourth annual Diversity Representation, Education And Mentoring (D.R.E.A.M.) Program, Wednesday, January 2 through Friday, January 4, 2002. The D.R.E.A.M. program will provide 33 minority youth with an opportunity to experience first-hand the financial industry and options trading.

Over the course of the three-day program, students gain invaluable business experience through a variety of activities. The agenda includes: presentations from exchange staff, participating in mock trading games at The Options Institute, accompanying CBOE members into the trading pits during the day, and having lunch with William J. Brodsky, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CBOE.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange is the world's largest options exchange, the second largest U.S. securities exchange (behind NYSE), and is the creator of listed options. CBOE lists options on approximately 1,500 stocks and 40 indexes and is home to one of the world's most technologically advanced trading floors where average daily volume is 1.25 million contracts traded.

CBOE is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). For additional information about the CBOE and its products, access the CBOE site on the World Wide Web at http://www.cboe.com.
