Chicago Climate Futures Exchange® Sets New Daily Volume Record For Carbon Financial Instrument® (CFI®) Futures Contracts

Chicago Climate Futures Exchange, LLC (CCFE®), a wholly owned subsidiary of Chicago Climate Exchange, Inc. (CCX®), announced today that on June 2, 2008, CCFE established a new record for total daily volume in CCFE CFI futures, with 1,015 contracts traded (1,015,000 metric tons CO2), surpassing the previous record set on May 27th when 622 contracts traded.

CCFE CFI futures and options have together traded 8,330 contracts year-to-date, compared to 3,566 total contracts traded in 2007.
