Chicago Board Of Trade To Provide Free DJIA Futures Quotes

The Chicago Board of Trade announced on March 11 that it will provide real-time price quotes on its DJIA futures and futures options contracts free of charge to vendors and customers effective immediately. The move to provide the quotes free for a period of time was approved by the CBOT Board of Directors at its meeting on March 9. CBOT Chairman David P. Brennan said, "Providing live DJIA quotes to CBOT vendors and customers free of charge will increase market-user awareness of the opportunities provided through the CBOT Dow complex. Today's financial markets must be responsive to customer needs. Just as brokerages are offering on-line services and providing quotes on their internet sites, we will provide instant and free Dow futures quotes in order to increase member opportunity and expand our following of index traders."
