Chicago Board Of Trade Nominating Committee Announces Candidates For 2004 Election

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that the Nominating Committee has slated the following candidates to serve on the exchange's Board of Directors and on its Nominating Committee. The exchange election will be held on March 10, 2004.

Nominees were slated to fill the following offices: Vice Chairman of the Board (two-year term); three Full Member Directors, including at least one non-resident (three-year terms); and one Nominating Committee Full Member (three-year term).

CBOT Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Candidate:

The full member nominee to serve for a two-year term as Vice Chairman:
Robert F. Corvino

CBOT Director Candidates:

The full member nominees for three-year terms as Directors are:
Mark E. Cermak
Brent M. Coan
James A. Donaldson (non-resident)

CBOT Nominating Committee Candidate:

The full member nominee for a three-year term as a member of the Nominating Committee is:
John H. Tocks

Additional candidates' names may be placed on the ballot for any office through a petition. Each candidate's petition must be signed by at least 40 members and submitted in care of the CBOT Secretary's Office no later than Wednesday, February 18, 2004.

Based on the current CBOT charter and bylaws, the exchange's 2004 Board of Directors, which will become effective immediately following the election on March 10, 2004, will include the Chairman, Vice Chairman, President/CEO and 15 Directors. Elected Board members whose terms are expiring are Vice Chairman Robert F. Corvino, and Directors

Mark E. Cermak, Walt K. Weissman (non-resident), and Ronald F. Young. The Nominating Committee member whose term is expiring is Scott M. Swank.

The current Nominating Committee is comprised of Michael A. Manning, Robert E. Goldberg, Joseph Niciforo, Scott M. Swank and A. John Yavari.
