CHF105,015 Million In Turnover On SWX In February

A total volume of CHF105,015 million was traded on SWX in February, 16.56 percent less than the month before. The total comprises CHF 86,315 million in equities (including funds), CHF 12,508 million in bonds, CHF 3,303 in derivatives, CHF 1,182 in USD denominated Eurobonds, CHF 1,677 in EUR denominated Eurobonds and CHF 30 in GBP denominated Eurobonds.

A total volume of 867,991 trades were transacted on SWX in February. The total comprises 698,362 trades in equities (including funds), 70,855 in bonds, 98,774 in derivatives, 8,223 in USD denominated Eurobonds, 13,167in EUR denominated Eurobonds and 433 in GBP denominated Eurobonds.

The SMI index closed at month-end at 7,701.8, a decrease of 4.4% compared to the previous month. The change since the start of the year was 11.46%. The SPI index closed at month-end at 5,320.8, a decrease of 4.40% compared to the previous month. The change since the start of the year was 11.90%.
