Charles P. Carey Reelected CBOT® Vice Chairman, Five Directors Elected To Board - Three Members Also Elected To The Nominating Committee

The members of the Chicago Board of Trade today reelected Charles P. Carey, partner in the Henning and Carey division of First Futures (Refco), Vice Chairman of the CBOT® Board of Directors to a two-year term.

Also elected were three Full Member Directors to three-year terms, including one non-resident; one Full Member Director to a two-year term; and one Associate Member Director to a three-year term.

Elected to three-year terms as Full Member Directors were John E. Callahan, Managing Member for Callahan DPM, LLC; C.C. Odom, II, President and Founder of CCO Venture Capital, and founder and principal of Frontier Healthcare LLC (non-resident); and Gary V. Sagui, an independent trader. Walt K. Weissman, Co-Chairman and Managing Director of Tradelink LLC, was elected non-resident Full Member Director for a two-year term.

In addition, Howard R. Feiler, an independent trader and President of AH&J Brokerage, Inc., was elected Associate Member Director to a three-year term.

Michael A. Manning, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rand Financial Services, Inc., was elected to a three-year term as Full Member on the CBOT® Nominating Committee. Scott M. Swank, independent trader and sole owner of Swank Trading Co., was elected to a two-year term as Full Member on the Nominating Committee.

Additionally, Joseph Niciforo, a Managing Director and Partner of Tudor Investment Corporation in Greenwich, Conn., was elected to a three-year term as Associate Member of the Nominating Committee.

Members elected assumed their offices immediately upon election.

Based on the current CBOT® charter and bylaws, the exchange's 2002 Board of Directors will include the Chairman, Vice Chairman, President and 15 Directors. The office of Chairman was not up for election since Chairman Nickolas J. Neubauer was elected to a two-year term in December 2000.
