The Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX) is planning to hold an International Business Summit in Guernsey on 11 September 2009.
The first event of its type in the Channel Islands, the International Business Summit provides a discussion forum on key issues facing finance practitioners in the current economic climate and has been designed to create an excellent networking opportunity.
Reflecting the international outlook of the CISX and the Channel Islands as whole, the CISX has aligned world-class speakers for the Summit including Sandra Horsfield, Senior Economist Barclays Plc, Mohammed Younes, Chairman Concord International Investments Group, Jo Huxtable, Tax Director at Deloitte and George Buckley, Chief UK Economist, Deutsche Bank.
The Summit takes place during the Battle of Britain Week, one of the most popular weeks for visiting the Channel Islands. The Battle of Britain Air Display, with a WWII commemorative flyover, Euro-fighter and Red Arrows, takes place on 10 September, the day before the Summit and will offer delegates a unique experience in a dramatic setting overlooking St Peter Port harbour and Castle Cornet.

The focus will be on the global economic conditions, market trends, threats and opportunities.
