Changes in the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn

The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:NDAQ) announces that Andrus Alber, Chairman of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn, steps down from his position on February 8, 2013.

Daiga Auziņa-Melalksne, Chairman of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Riga, was appointed as a new member of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn.

Upon completion of the second term as the Chairman of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn, Andrus Alber decided not to run for a third term as the Chairman and steps down from his position. Andrus Alber was appointed as the Chairman of the Management Board of the Tallinn Stock Exchange in February 2007. In 2010, the Supervisory Council re-appointed him for the second three-year term which ends on February 8 this year.

"After two terms as the Chairman of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn, I have decided to take on new opportunities. The past six years were a highly interesting and challenging period for our company and I would like to thank all my colleagues and business partners for the great collaboration we have had over these years,” said A. Alber.

"On behalf of the Council and the shareholder of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn, I would like to thank Andrus for his leadership and dedication during a redefining period for the securities markets. These six years saw the global financial crisis but they also included many positive developments like the adoption of the euro in Estonia, the incorporation of the Baltic exchanges into world’s largest exchange group NASDAQ OMX, and the start of the advisory work in the Armenian pension reform, in which Andrus' role has been instrumental," said Arminta Saladžienė, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn and Head of NASDAQ OMX Baltic Market.

According to A. Saladžienė, the selection process of the new Chairman of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn is ongoing and the appointment will be made in the near future.

„As we wish success to Andrus in his future career, I am very pleased to welcome Daiga to the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn. This cross-border appointment will support our single Baltic Market strategy and along with a forthcoming appointment of the Chairman, we will have a strong management team in Estonia," said Saladžienė.

Auziņa -Melalksne is the Chairman of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Riga and Head of Exchange Services of the Baltic Market. She is also chairing the Board of the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance, and is a member of the AmCham Latvia Board. Auzina-Melalksne has been working at NASDAQ OMX Riga Stock Exchange since 1998 and has been the chairman of NASDAQ OMX Riga since 2005.
