Changes In Board Of The Swiss Futures And Options Association (SFOA) – Otto E. Nägeli Elected Chairman

Three valued members of the Board of Directors of SFOA have decided not to stand for re-election at this year’s General Meeting: Chairman Paul Meier as well as Bill Brodsky and John Foyle.

Nominated as new members and approved by the General Meeting were:

- François Bouclier, Director of Clearing Sales, NewEdge, Geneva
- Michael Hofmann, Managing Director, ABN AMRO Clearing, Frankfurt
- Andrew Lowenthal, CEO, CBOE Futures, Chicago
- Otto E. Nägeli, Partner and CEO, OEN Consulting and Chairman of CME Clearing Europe.

The Board has elected Otto E. Nägeli to serve as its Chairman for the next three years. We are delighted that he has accepted this nomination.

Also confirmed by the General Meeting were the following current members of the Board whose term had expired:

- Patrick Catania, CEO, Asia-West Group, Chicago
- Paul-André Jacot, Principal, Derivacom and CEO, SFOA
- Michel Legler, VP, Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie, Geneva
- Markus Pfister, MD, Head of Engineering and Developmentt, Bank Vontobel AG, Zürich
- Francesco Ranza, FVP, Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild SA, Geneva

We welcome the new members and are looking forward to a good and fruitful co-operation to continue to grow our Association.

In recognition of their long and strong involment on behalf of our Association the Board has decided to name Paul Meier as Honorary Chairman and Bill Brodsky and John Foyle as Honorary members. Additionnally the Board has decided to name as an honoray member John Damgard, long standing President of the Futures Industry Association (FIA) in Washington, who has announced his intention to retire. They all have contributed a lot of time and effort into the success of our Association. We wish them well for their future and are grateful for their continued support.
