Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) announced today that it will change the TOPIX and TOPIX Sector indices methodology for the transfer of listed companies from the TSE Second Section to the First Section. This change is due to the fact that the date of transfer to the TSE First Section from the Second Section has been made more flexible from today. The details are as follows:

This change in methodology will apply to the transfer of listed companies to the TSE First Section from the Second Section starting December 4, 2006.
