C-Com Welcomed The Thai Rubber Association (TRA)

C-Com welcomed a mission of the Thai Rubber Association (TRA) headed by Mr. Luckchai Kippel, the Chairman of TRA on October 17, 2007. The mission consisted of 22 delegates including the AFTC (Regulator), RRIT (Research Institute), leading producers and traders in Thailand.

This was the first visit of the Association to C-Com, although C-Com’s predecessor Osaka Mercantile Exchange (OME) had maintained a long history of friendship with TRA.

After brief remarks from each of Mr. Kimura, C-Com’s chairman & CEO, and Mr. Luckchai, C-Com made presentations on the introduction of the Exchange and its Rubber Markets. Many questions were asked during the Q & A session, including those about delivery, components of Rubber Index, etc. It indicated keen interest by the delegate members in C-Com’s Rubber markets, and some showed interest in becoming an Associate Member of C-Com Rubber Markets. The visit ended in a very friendly atmosphere, and the both parties further strengthened the friendly relations.
