As an integral member of the exchange's Business Development management team, Ms. Lyall will report to Robert Ray, Senior Vice President of CBOT Business Development. She will be responsible for identifying, developing and building key strategic alliances with existing and new clients in Europe for the CBOT. In addition, Ms. Lyall will assist with the formulation and implementation of CBOT business strategy in the European and Asian Pacific Rim regions.
Ms. Lyall has held numerous derivatives industry positions for a number of prominent banks, financial institutions, exchanges, and technology companies in Australia, the Asia Pacific region and Europe. Ms. Lyall was instrumental in establishment of the Australian Derivatives Exchange (ADX), a pioneering concept involving the building and successful opening of a fully electronic futures exchange. In her role as General Manager, she was responsible for the development of the ADX's Market Control Centre, Research and Development Group, Sales and Marketing Department, Data and Statistics, Web and e-commerce, Market Compliance and Surveillance, and Clearing and Settlement teams.
Most recently, Ms. Lyall was employed as the Strategic Business Manager for the Ecco group of companies. In her role, she identified and established potential business opportunities, including alliances, joint ventures, and outright sales. She was also engaged in development work and other strategic initiatives for Ecco's suite of trading and risk management products. Dr. Benning, who has been with the CBOT in Chicago since January 2002, will interact and service the New York market, conducting financial market and product research. He will continue to report to Eugene Mueller, Managing Director of the CBOT Interest Rate Product Group.
