
CBOT traders on the agricultural floor celebrate a record year in which total Exchange volume in 2006 tops 804 million contracts
Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) members celebrated their fifth consecutive record-setting year at the close on the final day of trading for 2006. The new all-time annual volume record surpassed 804 million contracts traded. The Exchange exceeded the previous record set in 2005 of 674,651,393 contracts on November 3, 2006.
