CBOT Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With SFE

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement with the Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE) to cooperate on product development and other areas of mutual interest.

As part of the MOU agreement, the CBOT and SFE will discuss a variety of innovative opportunities, including products based on the Dow Jones Industrial AverageSM (DJIASM ) and the exploration of additional synergies between the exchanges.

CBOT President and CEO Bernard W. Dan said, "The CBOT believes strongly in the value of developing strategic alliances with industry-leading partners globally, and this MOU with the SFE represents the basis for a relationship with the potential to deliver many benefits to our customers. We look forward to working with the SFE, which is the 10th largest financial futures and options exchange in the world by volume and the second largest in the Asia-Pacific region, on product developments that will enhance global trading opportunities for market users worldwide."
