CBOT® Chairman Nickolas J. The CBOT's Ten-year Treasury note futures contract set a daily total volume record with 1,000,058 contracts traded on February 27, breaking the previous record of 851,198 contracts traded the previous day. Additionally, Ten-year Treasury note swap futures set a daily total volume record of 29,035 contracts traded on February 27, breaking the previous record of 24,960 set on August 29, 2002.
In addition, the CBOT's Muni-note futures contract, launched on October 26, 2002, surpassed 2,000 contracts for the first time yesterday with total volume of 2,665 contracts traded. Open interest reached a high of 3,266 contracts.
The CBOT's Rough rice futures set a record with 5,493 contracts traded yesterday, compared to the previous record of 3,543 contracts traded on February 25, 2003.
