CBOT Sets New Exchange-Wide Open Interest Record - Open Interest In Ten-Year U.S. Treasury Note Futures Rises To New All-time High

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that on Wednesday, March 23, Exchange-wide open interest rose to a new record of 13,809,450 contracts, exceeding the previous record of 13,735,552 contracts set on March 22.

Further, open interest in the CBOT’s Ten-Year U.S. Treasury Note futures climbed to a new all-time high of 2,147,245 contracts, surpassing the previous high of 2,118,687 contracts set on March 22. In the Exchange’s Agricultural markets, open interest in Wheat options reached a new record of 209,909 contracts, surpassing the prior record of 208,348 contracts set on March 22.
