“The Chicago Board of Trade is very pleased that Treasury is considering reissuing the 30-year bond,” Chairman Carey said. “Reintroduction of the 30-year bond would deliver a multitude of benefits to participants in the capital markets. A liquid market for debt across the entire yield curve would lower risk profiles for long-term investors and would serve an important role in the pricing of other long-term debt instruments.”
