The CBOT’s newly published Agricultural Futures & Options: A Hedger’s Self-Study Guide, is a 72-page introduction to price risk management. The CBOT also is offering an online interactive Agricultural Options Tutorial.

The self-study guide provides an overview of the agricultural futures and options market and price risk management. The book explores the advantages and disadvantages of various futures and options strategies for commodity buyers and sellers. The self-study guide, which may be ordered at www.cbot.com under the Education/Publications section, is priced at $10.00 per book. For orders of five or more, the charge is $7.00 per book.
The Agricultural Options Tutorial introduces the fundamentals of agricultural options, including terminology, market concepts, pricing and strategies. The tutorial complements the existing Agricultural Futures Tutorial, launched in March 2004, and is available free of charge via the Education/Tutorials section of the exchange Website.
