CBOT Officials Ring Opening Bell At CBOE for Listing Options On CBOT Holdings, Inc.

On Tuesday, April 25, 2006, Chicago Board of Trade Chairman Charles P. Carey, CBOT President & Chief Executive Officer Bernard W. Dan and other CBOT officials rang the opening bell at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) to mark the first day of trading options on CBOT Holdings, Inc. stock.

Chairman Carey said, "It is a pleasure to be here to celebrate the first day of listing options of CBOT Holdings, Inc. stock. Also of significance is that tomorrow marks the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the CBOE by Board of Trade members which is a demonstration of the long history we share together. We look forward to many more years of working with the CBOE."

Commenting on the historic occasion of the CBOE trading BOT options for the first time, CBOE Chairman & CEO William J. Brodsky said, “We are especially pleased to be the first exchange to list BOT options and to celebrate with our friends the great success that the Board of Trade has realized since the initial public offering of their stock."
