CBOT Nominating Committee Slates Brennan For 2-Yr. Chairman Term

Date 01/11/2000

David P. Brennan was nominated by the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) Nominating Committee as a candidate in the exchange’s annual election to serve as Chairman of the Board. The election will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2000. Mr. Brennan, a full member and independent trader, currently is finishing a two-year term as Chairman.

The only election to be held December 6 will be for the office of Chairman, a result of the October 12 CBOT® membership vote which authorized the reduction in the size of the Board of Directors to 18 positions from a 27-member Board and five positions from a seven-member Nominating Committee.

Other candidates may be added by petition per the CBOT®’s Bylaws. Petitions must be submitted to the CBOT®’s Office of the Secretary by Wednesday, November 15, 2000. The current Nominating Committee is comprised of: John H. Tocks, Chairman; John L. Pietrzak, Vice Chairman; Jack R. Frymire; Jay Homan; Bruce A. Williams; and Charles M. Wolin.
