CBOT® Nominating Committee Announces Slate For 2003 Election

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced that the exchange's Nominating Committee has slated nine candidates to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors, as Directors, and as members of the Nominating Committee. The CBOT annual election is scheduled for March 12, 2003.

Nominees were slated to fill the following offices: Chairman of the Board of Directors (two-year term); three Full Member Directors (three-year terms), including at least one non-resident (the non-resident must have his/her place of business at least 50 miles from Chicago); two Full Member Directors (one-year terms); one Associate Member Director (three-year term); and two Nominating Committee Full Members (three-year terms).

The Full Member nominee to serve a two-year term as Chairman:
Charles P. Carey

CBOT Director Candidate(s):
The Full Member nominees for three-year terms as Directors are:
Nickolas J. Neubauer, Frank S. Serrino, and Michael D. Walter (non-resident)

The Full Member nominees for one-year terms as Directors are:
Mark E. Cermak and Robert F. Corvino

The Associate Member Nominee for a three-year term as Director is:
Raymond Cahnman

CBOT Nominating Committee Candidates:
The Full Member nominees for three-year terms as members of the Nominating Committee are:
Robert E. Goldberg and A. John Yavari

Additional candidates' names may be placed on the ballot for any office through a petition. Each candidate's petition must be signed by at least 40 members and submitted in care of the CBOT Secretary's Office no later than February 19, 2003.

Based on the current CBOT charter and bylaws, the exchange's 2003 Board of Directors, which will become effective immediately following the election on March 12, 2003, will include the Chairman, Vice Chairman, President and 15 Directors.

Elected board members whose terms are expiring are: Chairman Nickolas J. Neubauer, and Directors Raymond Cahnman, Mark E. Cermak, Robert F. Corvino, Veda Kaufman Levin, James P. McMillin (Associate Member), and Michael D. Walter (non-resident). Nominating Committee members whose terms are expiring are: Jack R. Frymire and Bruce A. Williams.

The current Nominating Committee is comprised of Jack R. Frymire, Chairman; Michael A. Manning; Joseph Niciforo; Scott M. Swank; and Bruce A. Williams.
