CBOT Nominating Committee Announces 1999 Election Slate

The Chicago Board of Trade announced today that the Nominating Committee Nominating Committee has nominated the following candidates for the exchange annual election to be held December 8, 1999.
Charles P. Carey was nominated for First Vice Chairman, to serve for a two-year term. Carey, a full member, is Senior Vice President, First Options of Chicago, Inc. The Nominating Committee also slated candidates for five full member Director seats (including at least one non-resident) on the CBOT Board of
Directors, with each to serve for three-year terms: Raymond Cahnman, Chairman, TransMarket Group, L.L.C.; Mark E. Cermak, President, O'Connor & Company (Futures Division);
Robert F. Corvino, Independent Trader; Veda Kaufman Levin, Independent Member; and Michael D. Walter, (non-resident), Senior Vice President, ConAgra, Inc.
The associate member Director nominated for a three-year term was James P. McMillin, Independent Trader.
Slated to serve three-year terms as members of the Nominating Committee were full members Jack R. Frymire, Vice President/Secretary, Iowa Grain Co., and Bruce A. Williams, Independent Trader.
Other names may be placed on the ballot for any office through a petition signed by at least 40 members and submitted no later than November 17, 1999.
Elected members of the CBOT Board of Directors whose terms expire on December 31, 1999, are: David J. Fisher (First Vice Chairman), Charles P. Carey, Jack R. Frymire, Gordon D. Linn, Charles P. Nastro (full members), and, Paul R. T. Johnson, Jr. (associate member). Also expiring is the term of full member Director Daniel F. Brophy, who was appointed to the Board to serve the remainder of the term of the late Harold I. Richard.
