CBOT Names Jackie M. Clegg Director

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today the appointment of Ms. Jackie M. Clegg to the CBOT Board of Directors.

Ms. Clegg, former Export-Import Bank Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and First Vice President, will fill a previously vacant non-member Director position. Her term runs through the next CBOT election, tentatively scheduled to take place in the first half of 2004.

CBOT Chairman Charles P. Carey said, "Ms. Clegg's insight and unique perspective will aid the exchange in its mission of maintaining unparalleled transparency, liquidity and product innovation for its members and customers. Her appointment adds to the breadth of skills, experience and diversity of the Board of Directors."

Ms. Clegg was nominated by President Bill Clinton and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 1997 as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and First Vice President of the Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im Bank). During her tenure as First Vice President and Vice Chair, Ms. Clegg accepted the additional role of Chief Operating Officer in 1999. The Ex-Im Bank of the United States is the official export credit agency of the United States. Ex-Im Bank's mission is to assist in financing the export of U.S. goods and services to international markets.

Ms. Clegg is currently the Managing Partner of the strategic consulting firm, Clegg International Consultants, LLC, where she focuses on strategic advice and crisis management, especially for businesses with an international interest.

Additionally, during Ms. Clegg's 20-year career in Washington DC, she has worked in the U.S. Congress on national security, foreign affairs, and international finance and monetary policy.
