CBOT® Market To Celebrate Record Volume Year With Shower Of Confetti - CBOT Members Trade Nearly 454 Million Contracts

The Chicago Board of Trade's open auction markets will celebrate the last day of trading for 2003 with a shower of confetti at the 12:00 p.m. closing bell on December 31.

When trading in 2003 comes to a close, CBOT members will have traded nearly 454 million contracts on the Exchanges' open auction and electronic trading platforms, surpassing the previous exchange total volume record of 343,882,529 contracts set in 2002.
