CBOT Five New Ag Volume Records Set On a/c/e July 17, 2001

Five new agricultural product volume records were established on the a/c/e system during the July 17, 2001 trading session.

The new highs were: Total agricultural futures and options traded, at 10,974 contracts (previous record 10,014 set July 13 2001); agricultural futures at 10,867 (previous high 9,971 set July 13, 2001); wheat futures at 1,701 (previous high 1,247 set Oct. 2, 2000); soybean futures at 3,838 (previous record 2,916 on July 13, 2001); and soybean meal futures at 271 (previous high 205 set on November 24, 2000).
