CBOT Financial & Ag Futures Contracts Continue To Set Records - Exchange Sees Second Busiest Day Ever

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that the Exchange’s Financial and Agricultural futures contracts continue to set records, with all-time highs reached in volume and open interest on Friday, February 25. That same day, total volume at the CBOT reached 5,357,286 contracts, the second highest daily volume ever in the Exchange’s history.

Volume in CBOT Two-Year Treasury Note futures set a new record of 277,005 contracts on February 25, exceeding the old record of 224,220 contracts set on February 24. In addition, open interest in Two-Year Treasury Note futures set a new high of 388,961 contracts, surpassing the previous high of 380,200 contracts also set on February 24.

In Agricultural futures trade, volume in Corn futures reached an all-time high of 314,154 contracts on February 25, breaking the previous record of 301,177 contracts set on February 22.
