CBOT - Exchange Fee Revisions Effective Sept. 1, 2000

In an August 30, 2000 vote, the CBOT®® membership amended Rule 450.00 "Exchange Service Fees" to modify Exchange transaction fee rates as shown below. (All rates are shown per contract/per side).

The revised rates will apply to transactions made on and after September 1, 2000.

For Full and Associate Members and Member Firms, the Exchange transaction fee rate will increase from 1.5 cents to 5 cents. Also, the cap will be increased from $10,000 to $25,000 per year on fees payable by Members for trading for their own accounts and for trades executed as a floor broker for others.

For Membership Interest Holders (GIMs, IDEMs and COMs), the Exchange transaction fee rate will increase from 2 cents to 5 cents.

For Non-members, a new "Licensed Contract Fee" of 25 cents will apply to transactions in *Dow Jones sm and Municipal Bond Index contracts.
