Trading on the CBOT’s electronic platform increased 43.6 percent year-to-date through October 2004. - Automated enforcement of daily price limits, which will aid in market monitoring and in preventing trade errors.
- Technical enhancements for processing and distributing prices and market data, which support the CBOT’s position as a leading provider of market data.
- Enhanced software that optimizes the overall performance and reinforces the reliability of the trading platform. These enhancements are geared toward accelerating the processing and completion of trades, particularly during volatile, active markets.
- The implementation of multiple trading algorithms within a product, giving the exchange the flexibility to determine the most efficient manner of matching trades based on the demographics and characteristics of each market.
