Mr. Oglesby, a renowned public affairs and political strategist, is Vice Chairman at BKSH & Associates, a firm which provides Washington government relations services to a select number of domestic and international clients, and has held senior positions in the administrations of Presidents George W. Bush and Ronald W. Reagan, as well as in the U.S. Congress and state governments.
The former Deputy Chief of Staff to President Reagan and Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs for Mr. Reagan, Mr. Oglesby most recently served as Chief of Staff to the U.S. Trade Representative Robert B. Zoellick. In the U.S. House Mr. Oglesby worked as a Minority Counsel for the House Commerce Committee and as an Executive Assistant to Representative Ed Madigan (R.-Ill.).
An Illinois native, Mr. Oglesby served as Assistant to Illinois Governor Richard B. Ogilvie and later was Deputy Director of the State of Illinois' Washington, D.C., office.
In the private sector, Mr. Oglesby also has held several senior positions, including that of RJR Nabisco Senior Vice President for Government and International Relations; President of the Association of American Railroads; and as Chief Operating Officer with the Cassidy & Associates public affairs firm. In addition, he also served previously as Chairman of Oglesby Properties in Houston, Texas.
