- April average daily volume at 1,459,155, up 35.2% from April 2002 and YTD daily average of 1,534,059, greater by 32.4% than in 2002.
- Total exchange open interest on April 30 was 7,161,420, up 14.3% from a year before, and up 8.5% from March 2003.
- Financial futures and options trade in April at 23,412,425 was up 32.0% from a year before and at 100,880,602, up 36.4% YTD.
- Agricultural futures and options volume at 5,992,898 was up 11.2% from a year earlier and at 20,330,198 up 7.6% for the YTD.
- 30-Day Fed Funds Options (open auction) set a daily volume record at 22,385 on April 22, and a monthly volume record (open auction) at 203,275.
- Daily volume records (all open auction) were set for mini-sized Corn futures at 1,085 on April 25; mini-sized Soybean futures at 3,457 on April 30; and mini-sized Wheat futures at 199 on April 29.
