CBOT Announces Four Officer Promotions

The Chicago Board of Trade today announced promotions for Bryan T. Durkin to Senior Vice President and Administrator of the Office of Investigations and Audits (OIA) and Order Routing (OR), Frank S. Rose to Senior Vice President of Strategic and Product Research, Dennis M. Collins to Vice President of Marketing Programs, and Joseph A. Scifo to Vice President/Director of Operations.
CBOT President and CEO Thomas R. Donovan said, "The CBOT has the most highly skilled professionals in the business. These individuals will continue to work closely with our members, Board of Directors, and exchange staff. Their expertise in each of their related fields brings tremendous benefit to our Exchange and our membership."
As Senior Vice President and Administrator of OIA and OR, Durkin is responsible for ensuring the market integrity of all exchange members and member firms utilizing programs to monitor and enforce financial and trade practice compliance with CBOT rules and regulations. OIA is comprised of five departments for self-regulatory responsibilities for the Exchange.
Durkin also is responsible for the business implementation and deployment of order routing, local handheld, and hit/take handheld technologies, which are being deployed at the CBOT to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the Exchange's open outcry system. Additionally, Durkin oversees the Project A Electronic Trading System Customer Support Operations. Previously, he was Vice President and Administrator of OIA and OR. Durkin, an 18-year exchange veteran, received his MBA and undergraduate degrees from Lewis University, in Romeoville, Illinois.
As Senior Vice President of Strategic and Product Research in the Market and Product Development Department, Rose is responsible for the exchange's product development, strategic research, and education programs. Rose, a 19-year exchange veteran, formerly held the position of Vice President, Research and Strategic Analysis. He received his Ph.D. and MS degrees from Michigan State University, East Lansing, and his BS degree from Cornell University, Ithaca New York.
As Vice President of Marketing Programs in the Market and Product Development Department, Collins is responsible for the formulation and implementation of domestic and international business development strategies supporting the CBOT's traditional commodity, equity index, and financial products as well as new product launches. Collins, a 20-year exchange veteran, was previously Director of Marketing Programs. He received his MBA and MA degrees from the University of Chicago and his BA degree from Taylor University, Upland, Indiana.
Scifo, Vice President/Director of Operations, is responsible for managing the trading floors and trading areas. He also is in charge of the planning, design, coordination and implementation of trading hall projects, including the construction and remodeling of trading areas and the deployment of technology systems. Scifo, a three-year CBOT employee, previously was Facility Planner at the Exchange. He is a Licensed Architect and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
