The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today the following trading schedule in connection with the Columbus Day holiday.
Friday, October 6
- Open auction: Financial contracts will close at 12:00 p.m. All other open auction contracts (Agricultural and Stock Index) will close at their normal times.
- Electronic trading: Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m. Financial contracts will close at 1:00 p.m. All other e-cbot trading will close at their normal times.
Sunday, October 8
- Overnight e-cbot trading will close for Financial contracts except Eurodollars.
- Overnight e-cbot trading has a normal schedule for Eurodollar, Agricultural, Stock Index and Metals contracts.
Monday, October 9
- Open auction Financial contracts will be closed.
- Daytime e-cbot Financial contract trading will be closed except Eurodollars, which trade until 3:15 p.m.
- All other contracts (Agricultural, Stock Index, Dow-AIG Index and Metals) have a normal daytime open auction and/or e-cbot trading schedules.
- e-cbot trading re-opens at normal evening times.
