CBOT Announces Appointment Of Chris Malo To Executive VP

Bernard W. Dan, President and CEO of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today the appointment of Christopher (Chris) Malo to Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Malo will join Dan, Carol A. Burke, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, William M. Farrow III, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Bryan Durkin, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Glen Johnson, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, in the Exchange’s Office of the President.

In this newly created position, Chris Malo will be responsible for the CBOT’s overall marketing and business development initiatives, including sales, marketing and product development.

In making the announcement, CBOT President & CEO Bernard Dan said, “I am pleased to welcome Chris Malo to the CBOT. He is an excellent addition to the Exchange’s executive management team. His wide range of experience in business development and marketing, as well as his breadth of knowledge of the futures industry, will provide tremendous value to our institution. Mr. Malo joins the CBOT from Cargill Investor Services (CIS), where he held various executive positions in the company since 1978. As Senior Vice President and Director, Malo was responsible for all CIS activities with regard to fund and alternative investments. He previously served as CIS’s Global Head of Business Development and Marketing activities.
