CBOT Agricultural Volume Sets New Record On Project A Trading 13,083 Contracts

The Chicago Board of Trade announced today its members set a new volume
record for agricultural contracts on Project A.
CBOT members traded 13,083 agricultural contracts yesterday, surpassing the former record of 11,781 contracts set on July 6, 1999.
The new Project A volume record is an indication of the CBOT markets* ability to meet the needs of its customers by providing the best products for risk management and the most liquid markets in the world -- day or night. For agricultural products, Project A trading hours are 9:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Additionally, the CBOT corn contracts set a new Project A session record at 6,418 contracts, breaking the former record of 6,334 set on July 6,1999.
