CBOT 10- And 5-Year U.S. Treasury Options Set New Records

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that open interest within the exchange’s U.S. Treasury complex continues to climb, with the exchange setting new records in 10- and five-year U.S. Treasury note options on Monday, November 22, 2004.

Open interest in CBOT 10-year note options reached a second consecutive record, rising to 3,228,613 contracts from 3,179,342 contracts reached the prior session. CBOT five-year Treasury note options open interest increased to 1,377,166 contracts from 1,373,393 contracts set on August 26, 2004.
