MNX index options are a 1/10th size version of the existing Nasdaq-100 Index® options (NDXsm) traded at CBOE. The MNX, launched on August 14, 2000, is CBOE's newest index product and has quickly established itself as one of CBOE's most actively-traded index products. Today, MNX is the third most-traded index product at CBOE. Over its first six months, the MNX has sustained volume growth of 140%. Open interest for MNX options and LEAPS® is presently 486,926 contracts (266,872 calls and 220,054 puts).
