CBOE To List Options With Quarterly Expirations Beginning Monday, July 10 - Initial Listings Will Include Top Five Most-Actively Traded ETF Options

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that it will introduce options with end-of-quarter expirations beginning Monday, July 10, 2006.

CBOE will list Quarterly options on five Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs):
- Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stock (QQQQ)
- iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (IWM)
- DIAMONDS Trust, Series 1 (DIA)
- Standard and Poor's Depositary Receipts/SPDRs (SPY)
- Energy Select SPDR (XLE)

Quarterly options will trade based on a calendar quarter - with endings in March, June, September and December - and will expire on the last business day of each respective month. Regular monthly options typically expire on the Saturday following the third Friday of each month. Initially, CBOE will list options with Quarterly expirations for a period of one year.
