CBOE QQQ Options Volume Continues To Soar

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that reported volume in QQQ options on Thursday, March 8 was 317,256 contracts (162,612 calls and 154,644 puts) traded, accounting for 74% of the total trading volume at the four options exchanges currently trading the QQQ options.

Yesterday's QQQ options volume dwarfed the previous high of 154,565 contracts (141,172 calls and 13,393 puts) traded Wednesday, March 7. After just eight days of trading, open interest in the QQQ options stands at 2,292,140 contracts (1,649,999 calls and 642,141 puts).
