CBOE Ends Merger Talks With the Pacific Stock Exchange.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange announced on January 7 that its board of directors had voted unanimously to terminate merger discussions with the Pacific Stock Exchange. The CBOE said that it took the action after the U.S. Justice Department told the exchange on December 23 that it would require extensive review of the merger.
