CBOE Chairman And CEO, William J. Brodsky, To Speak On Single-Stock Futures

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options marketplace, and the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago (IASC), a Member Society of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR), today announced that William J. Brodsky, Chairman and CEO of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, will address the Society on Thursday, March 1, 2001.

Congress recently passed legislation which included allowing futures on individual stocks to commence trading later this year. This development has the potential to significantly lower trading costs for investors. Mr. Brodsky will discuss the historical background and key issues of the new legislation and what this means for investment professionals.

This will be a luncheon presentation, held in Chicago at the Metropolitan Club, Sears Tower, 233 South Wacker Drive, 66th Floor. The program will begin at Noon and end at 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required; check-in begins at 11:30 a.m.
